Awaits the winners of the Golden Angel statue and 5000 euro grand prize. Torun festival is one of the biggest summer festivals in Poland.

invite you - producers, directors, distributors and developers to submit their films for competition in the International 9.edycji Tofifest Film Festival invites you to participate in three competitions: two international and one national. The current rules are the same as last year.
major international competition ON AIR is directed to debuts and second films of the director. In particularly preferred selection of films will premiere in Poland before not showing. The second international competition is designed for short films SHORTCUT. Welcome to this short story contest, documents, animations and experiments from around the world will not exceed 40 minutes. Third, the national competition FROM POLAND , Will present the new Polish cinema.

Application deadline 7 May 2011 but to accept the film, the date of receipt of the application on-line competition. Preview copies must be submitted films to the Festival Office not later than seven days after the date of recruitment (to 05/16/2011).

Remein only few days. &th May is deadline for submitting films. International Film Festival Tofifest, known as "rebellious", is waiting for your films. We invite you to apply films for one of three competitive sections. The awards are Golden Angels and 5000 euro financial awards for the winner. Tofifest is one of the major summer festivals in Poland.
For eight years Tofifest has been successfully promoting rebelious, insolent cinema. Cinema that is not afraid to ask questions about present world. "From the beginning we have sticked to the rule of showing “rebellious cinema”, which looks for the truth about contemporary man, provokes discussions on difficult social or political problems and all the human issues that cannot be ignored." - says director of International Film Festival Tofifest, Kafka Jaworska, the youngest female boss of large Polish film festival. We willingly present retrospectives of exceptional artists, going against the grain of certain tendencies, as Theo van Gogh (The Netherlands), Alain Tanner (Switzerland), Costa Gavras (Greece) or Ken Russel (UK). Special Golden Angels are given to actors and directors for their artistic insolence. We try to show what's not obvious in cinema, find this group of phenomenons that are not so common: camp cinema, women's cinema,spaghetti western.
Tofifest has willingly been visited by stars of the cinema: Emauelle Seigner. Julia Jentsch, Miroslav Ondricek, Agnieszka Holland, Marta Meszaros, Krzysztof Zanussi, Shirin Neshat. Great atmosphere and the fact that festival is held in beautiful town Toruń – an enscribed on UNESCO World Relics’ List pearl of Gothic, it tempts especially artists.
If you're a filmmaker, director, distributor we invite you to apply your films for 9th International Film Festival Tofifest. You can present your works in three competitions: two international and one national. The existing rules are the same as the previous year.
International competition ON AIR presents debuts and second films directors from all over the world. During selection preference is given to Polish premieres, films that have not been screened in Poland. Second international competition SHORTCUT invites the short film forms: feature, documentary, animation, experimental from all over the world not longer than 40min. Third national competition FROM POLAND presents contemporary Polish movies.
As the amount of the films for three competitive section is limited the best films which can't be included into the competition will be presented in special section Out Of Competition. The awards in these competitions are GOLDEN ANGELS - which refer to the Medieval symbol of Toruń – a hometown of our Festival.
The term of submitting films for the competitions is 7th May, 2011. The date of sending an on-line entry by e-mail is decisive. Preview copies must be submitted to the Festival Office up to a week after the closing date of recruitment (to 05/16/2011).
